Shared Transfer from Lahti to St. Petersburg with ArtSanTaxi

When planning a trip, it's important to understand in advance how the journey will be organized, the departure time, and the conditions available to passengers. Even when it comes to shared transfers, most people choose the option where everything is thought out down to the last detail. ArtSanTaxi offers regular shared trips in a modern minivan, designed for up to 8 people. The vehicle strictly follows a pre-arranged route and a fixed schedule, allowing you to travel from Finland to St. Petersburg without any problems or delays.

Shared Transfer Schedule for the Lahti – St. Petersburg route

Shared trips operate every Sunday. The route and departure time always remain the same.

The shared transfer departs from Imatra train station at 3:00 PM, arrives in Lappeenranta at 3:30 PM, and continues to Kouvola at 4:30 PM. The transfer arrives in Lahti at 5:30 PM. The vehicle then travels to Helsinki, where it picks up passengers at 7:30 PM. Departures in all cities are from the train station.

The vehicle then proceeds to the port for the ferry crossing. In St. Petersburg, the final destination is Moskovsky Station. Drop-off at Pulkovo Airport or along the route is possible by prior arrangement.

Lahti – St. Petersburg Route Features (Ferry Crossing)

The schedule is designed so that the vehicle arrives at Helsinki Port by 9:00 PM and continues its journey by ferry. Adherence to the schedule is mandatory for the entire route.

To make the process as convenient as possible, the company issues ferry tickets in advance. Passengers provide their passport information before the trip, and the ferry crossing is already included in the transfer price. This saves time and eliminates the need to wait in line at the ticket office, as tickets are purchased by the carrier in advance. Border Crossing via Narva

Due to limited opening hours at the Koidula and Luhamaa checkpoints (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM), border crossings are conducted via Narva. The shuttle arrives at the checkpoint approximately 2:30 AM to 2:40 AM, while the border officially opens at 7:00 AM.

Arriving early allows passengers to be among the first in line, minimizing the overall time spent through border control.

The route is organized using two minibuses: the second one waits for passengers in the Russian Federation. The first driver remains on site until all passengers have crossed the border. This approach eliminates the need for passengers to remain outside; instead, they can relax inside the vehicle until the checkpoint opens.

After passing through border control on foot, passengers are met by the second minibus, which takes them to Moskovsky Station in St. Petersburg.

Ferry Travel Details

ArtSanTaxi handles all ferry travel arrangements. Tickets are purchased in advance; passengers only need to provide their first and last name.

Our intercity taxi service also offers pet transportation. For an additional fee of €10 (the pet ferry ticket), pets can travel with their owners. However, you must inform us in advance about your pet and bring a pet carrier, as ferry travel is not possible without these requirements.

Luggage Transportation

Each passenger is allowed one large suitcase and one large backpack or bag. Carry-on luggage (such as a small suitcase, backpack, or bag) is also permitted. This amount of luggage allows for ample space without overcrowding the vehicle and ensures a comfortable journey.

If the vehicle is not fully loaded and there is still space, additional luggage may be carried at no extra charge. However, this must be discussed individually.

Customs Regulations (Allowed and Prohibited Goods)

Customs control requirements have recently become significantly stricter, so it's important to be aware of the current restrictions before traveling. This will help avoid delays and additional checks.

The import of new expensive and luxury goods worth over €300 into the Russian Federation is prohibited. These include electronics, branded clothing, watches, bags, and other items. A receipt is required for all new items.

Personal items, including phones, laptops, and tablets, are permitted, provided they are not intended for resale.

You may import up to 3 liters of alcohol and no more than 2 packs of cigarettes.

Medicines for personal use are permitted, but prescription medications can only be transported with a doctor's prescription.

Dairy products may only be imported in their original packaging, weighing no more than 5 kilograms. A receipt must also be included with these products.

Meat products are permitted to be imported, but pork is prohibited from entering the Russian Federation.

Unless declared, it is permitted.
