Savoy Boutique Hotel stands at Suur-Karja 17/19, on a cobbled Old Town street where the historic centre meets modern Tallinn. The hotel is about 5 kilometres from the airport, roughly a 20 minute drive.
We hold a permit to drive into the Old Town, so your car pulls up right at the Savoy entrance. No dragging suitcases over the cobblestones from the nearest car park.

It used to be called Savoy Boutique Hotel by TallinnHotels and is now part of the Rixwell group, with the official name Rixwell Collection Savoy Boutique Hotel. Whichever name is on your booking, it is the same hotel on Suur-Karja, and that is exactly where we will take you.
An elegant boutique hotel in an 1890 building
The Savoy occupies a building from 1890 that was fully restored in 2006. It has just 44 rooms, styled in Art Deco with Italian made interiors. A marble staircase with wrought iron railings leads up to the rooms, which feature carved furniture, wide Estonian limestone windowsills and wooden shutters.
The largest room is the Savoy Suite, and the suites come with a spa bath and views over the Old Town rooftops. On the ground floor you will find the HOOV restaurant and the lobby bar.
A lobby built around a grand fireplace
The lobby is a highlight in its own right, with comfortable armchairs, handsome tables and a huge fireplace area. In winter, big logs burn and crackle in the hearth, and after a walk through the snowy Old Town there are few better places to sit by the fire with a glass of wine or a coffee.

Hot chocolate right across the street
Directly opposite the Savoy, at Suur-Karja 20, is Chocolala, a café and chocolate workshop we always recommend to our guests. Their hot chocolate is poured so that it runs down the sides of the glass, and the counter is full of handmade chocolates and desserts. We bring visitors here ourselves.
The same building houses the free Chocolala chocolate museum, which tells the story of Estonian chocolate going back to 1806, and you can make your own sweets at one of their workshops.
St Nicholas Church a few minutes away
Just a short walk from the hotel is St Nicholas Church, known locally as Niguliste. Today it is an art museum and home to a fragment of Bernt Notke's famous Danse Macabre, and organ concerts are held beneath its vaults. Town Hall Square is only a few minutes further on.
Child seats for every age
Travelling with children? We will have the car ready for them, with infant carriers and child seats for any age. Just tell us the children's ages when you book. The price stays the same.
For groups we can arrange an 18 or 24 seat minibus or a coach.
Back to the airport, port or bus station
On your departure day the driver will collect you from the Savoy door and take you to your flight, ferry or bus. We also meet guests at the passenger port and the bus station. We run around the clock, and a 4 am pickup costs the same as a daytime ride.

Staying in the heart of the Old Town, you can start exploring Tallinn right from the hotel door. We arrange guided city tours in the language of your choice, on foot through the medieval streets and by car to places that are too far to walk.
We will plan the route and length around you, travelling by business sedan or van.
