Features of the Riga – Moscow route
You can get to Moscow from Riga in two ways. The first is through the Luhamaa – Shumilkino border. On this route, in Russia the transfer goes via Pskov and Veliky Novgorod and then along the M-11 Neva toll motorway.
The second option is via Pskov and the Koidula – Kunichina Gora border crossing. The walk there is only about 350 metres, so it is often chosen by elderly passengers and those with a lot of luggage. Most often, however, we recommend Luhamaa – Shumilkino, as it is the closest crossing to Riga. At either crossing ArtSanTaxi takes passengers with two transfers: one drives you from Riga to the border on the Estonian side, and the second meets you after the crossing on the Russian side and takes you to Moscow.
