From Soviet House of Services to Modern Hotel
The building has an unusual past. In 1974, the House of Services opened here, designed by architect Maimu Kaarnaväli. It was home to workshops and tailors, and by 1978 a thousand people worked in the vast building.
In 2004, the House of Services was converted into a hotel and became one of the largest in Estonia. In 2020 and 2021, it was fully renovated at a cost of nearly 10 million euros. Today it has 324 rooms over ten floors, ranging from classic rooms to family rooms and suites, including suites with their own sauna.
A Sunday Brunch the Locals Love
The 228 seat City Grill House restaurant spans two floors, with a charcoal grill at the heart of its open kitchen. Every Sunday from 12:00 to 15:00, it hosts a brunch built around grilled dishes, with unlimited sparkling wine.

The hotel lobby is one of the largest in the capital, with a library, an open fireplace and space to work. On floor 0, there is an adults-only relaxation area with three saunas, crushed ice, foot baths and waterbeds. The entire tenth floor is given over to conferences and events, with views across the city.
