Hestia Hotel Kentmanni is located at Kentmanni 13, on a quiet central street lined with handsome town houses, boutiques and restaurants. The hotel is about 4 kilometres from the airport, roughly a 15 minute drive, and the car pulls up right at the main entrance.

The Old Town is about a 10 minute walk away, Freedom Square around 9 minutes, and the Stockmann and Solaris shopping centres, Alexela Concert Hall and the opera are all close by.

From Courtroom to Rooftop Terrace

The hotel has an unusual past: it opened in December 2019 in the former Harju County Courthouse. The 1970s building was designed by Heili Volberg-Raig, one of the best-known Estonian architects of her time. Where courtrooms and offices once stood, there are now cosy guest rooms.

The magnificent spiral staircase running through every floor has survived from the old building. Sentences used to be handed down here; today the only verdict guests face is a good rest.

The hotel has 92 rooms. The most special ones are on the top floor: suites with a kitchenette, their own sauna and a private rooftop terrace overlooking central Tallinn.
